Review

Nevermoor is a fun, magical, and adventurous story that is perfect for confident readers who love fantasy.

The book follows Morrigan Crow, a young girl who has been cursed from birth. Like all cursed children, she is doomed to die on Eventide, leaving behind her family and any chance of a future. But just as her time runs out, a mysterious and eccentric man named Jupiter North whisks her away to a hidden world called Nevermoor. Here, she is offered a chance at a new life—but there’s a catch. To stay, she must pass four dangerous trials and prove to the elders that she is worthy of joining the prestigious Wundrous Society.

This book is brilliantly fast-paced, packed with suspense, adventure, and plenty of humor. The storyline is simple yet intriguing, and after just a few chapters, I was completely invested in Morrigan and her journey.

While Nevermoor is an exciting read, it does introduce some long and unusual words, which might feel overwhelming for less confident readers. However, once you get used to the names of the people and places, the magical world truly comes to life, making it a great book to read together.

One of my favorite parts of the book was the cast of quirky and fascinating characters. From talking “magicats” to vampire dwarves and dragon riders, Nevermoor is bursting with imaginative creatures and unforgettable personalities.

The ending left me with so many questions, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next books in the series! If you love fantasy adventures filled with mystery, humor, and magic, Nevermoor is a must-read.
